Christlam

"And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed." Genesis 28:14

I always wondered how the Moslem religion would be molded into the ecumenical church. I thought, since the Koran and the five pillars of Moslem are so different than Christianity and the Bible, how can they find enough similarities? I am aware that the Pope has reached out to the Moslems and has met with them in the past but how would all this filter down. Well, this afternoon, I learned the answer. It is in the new religion called Christlam. You may have heard of it before but I haven't up until today. It is basically what it sounds; a merge of the Christian religion with the Moslem religion. So, is this of God and is this a true religion or false?

According to sources, it was founded in 1999 by a man named Samson Saka who after making a pilgrimage to Mecca was told by God to make peace between Christians and Moslems. While we are told in the Word of God "Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;" Matthew 5:44, we do not love the doctrine of Islam which does not hold Christ as Savior and Lord. Remember, Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6 Yes, it is a narrow way and Christ is the ONLY way, not Mohammad, or any other! "Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it." Matthew 7:14

It is said by those who support this movement that we all pray to God who is a loving God. This is not true as their God, which is Allah, is not the same. See the following:

Allah, as the Quran itself is witness, was well known in pre-Islamic Arabia. Indeed, both it and its feminine form, Allat, are found not infrequently among the theophorous names in inscriptions from North Africa" (Islam: Muhammad, and His Religion, New York: The Liberal Arts Press, 1958, p. 85).

The word "Allah" comes from the compound Arabic word, al-ilah. Al is the definite article "the" and ilah is an Arabic word for "god." It is not a foreign word. It is not even the Syriac word for God. It is pure Arabic. (There is an interesting discussion of the origins of Allah, in "Arabic Lexicographical Miscellanies" by J. Blau in the Journal of Semitic Studies, Vol. XVII, #2, 1972, pp. 173-190).

Neither is Allah a Hebrew or Greek word for God as found in the Bible. Allah is a purely Arabic term used in reference to an Arabian deity. Hastings' Encyclopedia of Religion and Ethics I:326, T & T Clark, states:

'"Allah" is a proper name, applicable only to their [Arabs'] peculiar God. '

According to the Encyclopedia of Religion:

'"Allah" is a pre-Islamic name . . . corresponding to the Babylonian Bel' (Encyclopedia of Religion, I:117 Washington DC, Corpus Pub., 1979). Please see the following web site The Cult of the Moon God for more information. From this we can see that Allah and our God or Jehovah are not the same.

Another claim is that we both descended from Abraham. While this is true it is clear that the Jews, whose seed came the Messiah, came through Jacob as seen in the scripture in the beginning.

There are many other points that can be brought out but this is enough to prove that they are not the same. It is Christ and Christ alone. Any Bible reading believer will quickly catch their tricks no matter who sells out to this. Don't fall for something that is not biblical even though so-called Christian leaders are buying into this. Stand on the foundation of Christ as he is the chief cornerstone. While God is a God of love, he will one day judge the earth for sin. "And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him." Jude 1:14-15

Stand for the truth. We want to win the precious Moslem people to Christ, not be pulled into the same errors which lead to perdition. For your sake and theirs, stand!

I just heard about this from Jimmy Swaggard ministries. I wonder if there is a list out there of congregations that are participating.

Memorial drive presbyterian church has a posting on their site that refutes the rumor they have ever had anything to do with Christlam and that they never have had nor ever will allow Korans in their pews. They claim they have tried to get whoever is posting these claims to take them down but have not had success in doing so. It sounds like someone is trying to cause dissention among Christians.

There is no comparison between Christianity and islam. My God and their Allah are not the same. My God is real, and their Allah was a vision to someone whom we don't know what he was eating, drinking or smoking at the time of his visions. My God is a loving and just God. Their allah is not!!

The Bible says no man can serve two masters. There is only one true and living God. Jesus Christ, his son, came to this earth, paid the price for all our sins by dieing on the cross for our salvation. Christians are believers in Jesus Christ. Read the Bible and remain true to the truth.

The only way to the true and living God, is through Jesus Christ.
